We arose a little earlier this morning and drove one hour northwest to visit the site where the first transcontinental railroad was completed in 1869. We loved the replica trains and the reenactment of the "last spike" ceremony.
Some of the wildlife we observed out in that remote area.
I'm told this is one of Grandma's favorite creatures. 😜
Penny and Diana loved the little rabbit.

Fun, educational morning.
All credit goes to Sam for constantly finding ways to make learning interesting for the children. And for me!
