Todd and Louise (Denali's grandparents on the far right) came for the party.
I made a birthday video for Denali.
This was Denali's reaction to my video. It warmed my heart!

Happy 6th Birthday, Douglas!

A few random photos before we get to the birthday photos. Here Penny, Diana, and Douglas are watching the guys extend our patio in the backyard.
They loved the mini digger.
We visited Granny and Grandpa Ogden on Cinco de Mayo (May 5th). Douglas tried out Granny's new recliner, and boy does it recline!
Despite the fact that May 5th is almost one week before Douglas's actual birthday, Granny threw together a "bagel cake" and she had Gideon and Maxwell make birthday presents for Douglas.

We sang our different versions of Happy Birthday to Douglas.

The children spent hours on the trampoline.

Hanging out with Granny.
Playing UNO with Grandpa.

The kids went to Grandma Margaret's house for a few days while Sam and I finished some projects around the house. They LOVE Grandma's house. Doogles made Perler bead glasses.

Stacie captured this awesome action photo of Penny on Grandma's trampoline.

Yesterday (Sunday, May 10th) we went to the home of Spencer (Sam's brother) and Jori (Sam's sister-in-law) to participate in their baby blessing and celebrate Mother's Day.
Then we went back to Grandma's house to celebrate Douglas's birthday, which is actually today, May 11th.

Good food, nice weather, and great company.

Sam and I sent this video to the children while they were at Grandma's house.
 They like their new beds.

This morning Douglas received another surprise. We went to the church parking lot and had some fun with this speedy little thing.
I gave this card to Douglas this morning. See the video below.

Taylor came over this afternoon and she and Sam took the kids to ride their bikes on a trail.
 Diana walked.

May the 4th be with you

The force was with me today. I visited Costco and acquired a rare material known on Earth as "toilet paper." I wandered around the store pointing my light saber at people and telling them, "May the 4th be with you" and "you will stay six feet away."
And for all of you rebel forces out there, the only reason I'm wearing a mask is because Costco now requires all customers to wear a mask. Normally I do not succumb to the Empire.
