Diana Margaret Ogden

Diana Margaret Ogden was born at 3:53 a.m. today.
Weight: 8 pounds 7 ounces
Length: 21 1/2 inches

Sam (my wife) decided she wanted to have a home birth this time . . . and she did it!
Mother and baby are doing great.
I'm doing great, too. 😁

Sam's sisters (Taylor and Kate) alternated staying the nights this week with Sam. Friday night was Margaret's (my mother-in-law's) turn. Baby Diana decided to wait for her namesake to arrive at our home, and then she made her appearance. Fitting.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped Sam along the way.

We are very grateful for the following midwives, who helped bring little Diana into the world:
Amanda Counter (primary midwife)
Amanda Mauch (senior midwife student)
Stephanie Preston (senior midwife student)

I went to work early this morning. When I returned at 6:00 a.m. (east coast time) I noticed a missed call from Sam. I knew Sam wouldn't be calling me at 4:00 a.m. Utah time to chitchat. Lo and behold, a daughter was born. I get to fly home this afternoon to spend some quality time with my beautiful family.

Sledding on grass . . . and other fun activities

Douglas wanted to make a cactus after we returned from our Arizona trip.
We love these two little people.

Well, at least Douglas's forehead will be able to sleep without being bothered by the light.
Who needs snow to sled? It's a better workout without the snow.
Douglas and Penny helped Mom make a cake.

I love her cute little laugh.
