The first two pictures document an accomplishment achieved by our cautious son. Last Monday Sam took the kids to a park by the library before going inside to get some books. At the playground there is a big rope "spider web" the kids can climb on, with green seats toward the top. Douglas usually only climbs on the first two rows of rope. However, this time he asked Sam to help him climb up higher so he could sit in one of the seats. With a lot of encouragement (and a little shove--he wanted to stop climbing at one point), and some persistence on his part, he made it!

Spoils of the hunt
Two Sundays ago at Grandma Coombs's house: Douglas went downstairs, found this crown, and wore it for a while. He told everyone he was the king. He found a smaller crown and gave it to Kate and told her she was the princess. When asked if he wanted to switch crowns he quickly said, "No, I can ONLY be the king."

My favorite part of General Conference. More temples! :)
