Traveling Tabernacle, Stewart Falls, "Grandkids on the log" photo, Freedom Festival awards ceremony, Baby blessing for Kendrick, July 4th activities, "Redneck Water Slide," Philadelphia Temple Work

In late June, Sam and Grandma took the kids to the mobile tabernacle, a replica of the ancient Israelite tabernacle.
Lizzie and her boys came into town the week before Independence Day. Here they are with Sam and the kids hiking to Stewart Falls.

They returned to Granny's house after their Stewart Falls hike. Here they are playing on the front lawn.
While they were in Utah, Lizzie and company had the opportunity to attend the Freedom Festival's annual awards ceremony. In this photo, Soren, Joseph, and Anders are getting ready to head over to the event.

They met Miss Provo at the event.
They also met Dave McCann, a KSL-TV news anchor and host of BYUtv's True Blue sports program.
Dave McCann invited them to the BYU studio the next day where they received an in-depth tour.

Sam and the kids participated in some fun Independence Day activities on and around July 4th. Here they are at a parade in Cache Valley.

Sam and the kids went with some of Sam's immediate and extended family to the "redneck water slide" where they had a blast zooming down to the bottom.

Once again, YouTube won't let me embed the following videos into my blog post. So, if you want to see videos (including slow motion videos) of people coming down the slide, click on these links:

For some reason, it WILL let me embed this one:

And I can't embed these last two:

These two photos are examples of the types of photos Diana takes when she gets Grandma's phone.

On 8 July I drove from Washington D.C. to Philadelphia where I spent two wonderful, uplifting days in the Philadelphia Temple doing work on behalf of our deceased ancestors.
One of my favorite things about Philadelphia is the amazing art on the walls of many of the large buildings throughout the city.
