Joseph, the cabin, laughter

Joseph (my brother) showing us the big truck he's driving these days.
Brothers
Last Sunday we spent a few gorgeous hours in the Sundance area at a cabin where Jarem (my brother-in-law), Sara (my sister) and their children are currently residing. The children had a great time playing in the cabin and surrounding forest.
Jarem made some delicious kababs for us.
Because it was the Sabbath, we held a brief meeting where we received the sacrament and had a spiritual thought. Jarem's parents (Todd and Louise) were also there.

Swimming

More swim lessons with Granny this week. Penny loved jumping into the pool.
Diana didn't enjoy her first lesson.

Diana quickly got used to the water.

Diana takes a break from the water.
My sister, Sara, and her children joined us for a few of the swim days.

Penny jumping

Meanwhile, Diana is throwing everything into the pool.

Penny learning to float on her back.
Peer pressure can be a good thing. Penny had fun doing everything Gideon was doing, including falling into the pool backwards.

And then Diana threw the strainer to the bottom of the pool.

Zooming to Oskar's baptism

I had the pleasure of participating (virtually) in my nephew's baptism today from thousands of miles away. Here is my sister (Lizzie) with her son and my nephew, Oskar.
Other friends and family members joined from various locations.
Karsten (Oskar's brother) gave the opening prayer.
 There's my Dad! :)
Oskar's bishop made a few remarks.
 Lizzie made a few remarks.
And three missionaries from our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, made a few remarks.
And then Dan (Oskar's father and my brother-in-law) baptized Oskar in a friend's swimming pool.
The love of a father and son increases when righteous decisions are made.

Penny's birthday and canoeing at Pineview

My sister's children celebrated with us.
Diana laughing at Gideon (my sister's son)
We spent a few days doing swimming lessons at "Carrie's pool." Carrie is a family friend who lives in a condo near Granny's house. She's been kind to us over the years, giving us access to her community pool many, many times. Granny taught swimming lessons for a couple of decades, so we are taking advantage of her skills these days.
The reason Diana was laughing at Gideon.
Stacie (Sam's sister), Penny, Kate (Sam's sister), Sam, Diana, Clayton (Kate's husband)
Kate and Clayton invited us to join them for a day of fun in the sun at Pineview Reservoir on Friday.

Kate and Clayton rowed a canoe over to our location on the shore.

Douglas LOVED the canoeing. Every time he came back to shore he would ask who else wanted to go out with him.
Penny enjoyed the canoeing as well.
"Mom, I'm sagging."
Penny's saggy swim diaper.

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Penny again and we ate cupcakes and muddy buddies.

Penny loves Clayton

Diana knows how to relax.

I love these Father's Day gifts from Douglas and Penny. Apparently, I need to either lose weight or gain weight, depending on who you ask. And yes, I like to work and I often tell my children about the benefits of work. I'm not sure about the beans and lemonade. :)
We listen to music on Pandora frequently. Whenever a commercial comes on I say, "Oh! That's my favorite song!" Yep, I like wearing underwear. Funny kids.
