Douglas goes to Natural Bridge, VA

Last week we drove three hours north into Pennsylvania.  This week we reversed the direction and drove three hours south to Natural Bridge, Virginia.  We drove away from drizzly northern Virginia, through a couple of five-minute downpours, and were welcomed by beautiful, sunny (albeit rather humid) weather.  Lizzie, we wouldn't have known about this place had you not sent us your email, so thank you!
Descending the 137 steps to the path that leads to the bridge

 One side...

 ...the other side
The little waterfall at the end of the one-mile path

There is a small Indian site halfway down the path
Justin - one of the two real Indians on site
Sam with one real Indian (Justin's mother, in the back) and two role players
We didn't stay for the light show because it starts at 9:30PM during the summer

There is beauty all around

And here are a few extras just for fun
The little man loves to bury his head between the arm and the chest, even if he's not trying to sleep.

He also likes this position at times.
