Washington State (Day 5 - Last Day)

Margaret (Grandma Coombs) took one for the team by sleeping upstairs with Doogles and Penny every night.
Diana did not sleep upstairs, but she was clearly happy to be a part of this photo.
Douglas referred to this lodge as the "hotel" throughout our vacation. Penny referred to the lodge as "Steecie's house." Steecie is how Penny pronounces Stacie's name.
This is an example of what Grandma had to endure during the last few nights. Lots of movement and feet and arms in her face.
Sam started our morning with a few songs and a spiritual message.
The forest around here is full of large slugs. We kept one of the slugs as a pet during our time in Washington. Today it was released to return to its family.
Douglas singing in the rain.
 Today we visited Snoqualmie Falls.
We crossed a pedestrian bridge to get to the other side of the road. The waterfall is approximately 250 feet from the parking lot. Tough hike. :)

Diana slept during our short trip to the falls.

I'll end the Washington blog posts with a funny story about Penny. She has become a helpful little girl (most of the time) lately. Over the past few days I often heard her say, "I help. I help." Today I needed to use the bathroom. Penny offered to help me. She usually stands next to the toilet and points to the bubbles that form in the water when my stream descends into the toilet. She flushes the toilet for me when I finish my business. On this particular occasion she got a little too excited and she decided to take a closer look at the bubbles. You can imagine what happened next. It only took a split second for her to realize that her head interrupted the descending stream.

I urinated on my daughter.

Washington State (Day 4)

Penny and Diana - morning stretches before changing out of their pajamas.
Today we drove into Seattle to visit the space needle and the aquarium.
We purchased tickets to ride up to the top of the space needle, took the elevator up to the top, grabbed a few pictures, and rode back down all within the span of about 30 minutes.

Washington State (Day 3)

Sam, Margaret (Grandma Coombs), and Stacie took the kids to a park in Bellevue this morning.

I visited the Seattle Temple while the kids were occupied at the park.

I joined the group at a different park after finishing some work at the temple.

Penny loved the zipline at the park.
At first, Douglas was content to race Penny as she zipped back and forth, but he later got enough courage to try it out. He loved it, too.

We stopped at Baskin Robbins on the way back from the parks.

Baked potatoes and ham for dinner tonight. I've been eating like a king thanks to Grandma, Sam, and Stacie.
These are my two favorite photos from today. Diana watched Octonauts with Douglas after we returned from the parks.
She fell asleep in his arms.
