On May 11th, we celebrated Douglas's fifth birthday.
Sam made a beautiful cake based on Douglas's request: chocolate cake with blue frosting, and sprinkles.
Grandma and Grandpa Coombs joined us for Douglas birthday celebration, along with Douglas's Aunt Taylor and Aunt Kate.
I was able to be there as well. Twas a delightful weekend.

The day after Douglas's birthday was Mother's Day. We drove to the home of Granny and Grandpa Ogden and enjoyed a gorgeous Sunday celebrating mothers, including the two mothers in this photo. See how much Diana is enjoying Mother's Day? :)

We sang another Happy Birthday song to Douglas before devouring the strawberry shortcake.
