Today was a great day

This morning we drove down to visit family in Provo.
Along the way we stopped by the home of a good friend (Chris Green) to chat and see his pet (Nigerian?) mini goats.

 Funny little things

We got the car cleaned, visited the bank, enjoyed some Jamba Juice, and had a wonderful session of sealings at the Provo Temple.  We had the pleasure of having Dad and Brother (David) Galbraith as our sealers, along with a nice, small, happy group of temple patrons.

We also stopped by the BYU athlete building and attempted to get a good shot with the cougar.

Third time is the charm!  Ari, Jude, and Gideon got to meet Chad Lewis.  He was happy to see a fellow redhead.

Tonight I played some awesome ping pong with Sister Black (now Sister Durrant, I think).

I'm pretty sure he was cheering for me.

Douglas receives his blessing

"Haaaaaallelujah......I finally got blessed!"  That tie was used to keep him quiet during his blessing (while he sucked on it).  It worked until he dropped it on the floor. :)
With my good friend, Chris.  Jesus has our backs.
A very big "Thank You!" to all who helped make this a special day.
 Post-blessing gathering at our apartment.

We don't have enough chairs at our place. :)
Gideon would only take a picture if we looked like this.
Enjoying some yummy pizza and fun conversation.
Manning (or to be politically correct, "womaning") the oven.
Douglas knows where the camera is.
"I'm 100 years old.  I don't have to stop eating for pictures anymore."
Walking over to the Station Park fountain after everyone finished eating and chatting.  Sara, Sam, and Mr. Sleeves.

Antelope Island

We drove out to Antelope Island today

We saw bison........and ate bison (or buffalo.......same thing, right? :) )
Fielding Garr home.......the oldest continuously-inhabited, anglo-built home in Utah.
Beginning our first hike, which was quickly cut short by a herd of bison roaming too near our trail.
Hundreds of riders are coming in for the annual bison roundup, which starts tomorrow.

Why fly when you can ride?
