We spent a delightful Independence Day in Hyrum and Paradise, Utah.
We began the day watching the parade in Hyrum. I told Harrison (pictured) to give me the "peace" sign.

Big yawn from Schofield as we waited for the parade to start.

The temperature was great during the parade, which is rare for July 4th. It's usually very hot, but today it was partly cloudy and we even had a little rain at various times during the day.
Waving to the missionaries.
I should mention the Barragan family. They let us hang out on their property during the parade, and they provided a delicious meal (Cafe Sabor) immediately following the parade. Great people!
After lunch, we went to Grandma's house and as usual, Grandma had all kinds of fun activities for the kids to do.

Diana and Ivy on the swings.
We watched the fireworks from Grandma's driveway. It was a gorgeous evening!
God's fireworks vs. man-made fireworks.
This photo was taken the day before Independence Day. Penny and Diana are with our neighbors, Eliza and Emmy.
God bless America! I love this country and all the neat events and activities we have to celebrate our freedoms and independence.
