Arizona

 This has nothing to do with Arizona, but it's cute. Doogles and Penny relaxing on the kitchen floor a few weeks ago.
We drove away from the cold on Sunday, and after spending a night in Las Vegas, we made it to Arizona. We spent three fun-filled, and mostly sun-filled days with Seth and McCall and their three children - Krew, Jarren, and baby Charly.

We grabbed some burgers and fries on our way down to Arizona. Douglas looked at one of the ketchup packets, picked it up, and said, "Dad, do you want some . . . um . . . checkup?" Then he paused for a second or two with a confused look on his face. He knew it was the wrong word, but he couldn't remember the correct word. It was hilarious.

Krew is a funny little man. We got lunch at the food court. At one point Sam and McCall were gone purchasing food. Krew said, "Where are McCall and Stacie?" I replied, laughing, "Stacie?! It's Sam, not Stacie" He responded with, "Sam, Stacie, same thing. I can't ever tell which one is which."

On Tuesday evening, Seth taught everyone about being born again spiritually and becoming clean.

Shorts in the winter

 Douglas is like his Dad. I never wore pants when I was young. I hated pants! Oh, to be young again.

 Penny didn't want to take a picture "with" the snowman. She wanted to stand in front of the snowman. Because Doogles and Mom kept trying to encourage her to move to the side, she decided to boycott the photo op. Absolutely no smiles.


 Sam is having Doogles practice writing the date on the board each day. Can you find his hidden message to his Mom? Start with "I hope you," then go up, and then go to the left.

Merry Christmas!

The Sunday before Christmas we attended the church group where Sam grew up.  They put on a beautiful Christmas program with lots of uplifting music and messages, and I had the pleasure of participating in Charly's baby blessing.  Seth (Sam's brother) and his wife, McCall, are Charly's parents.
