Happy 7th Birthday, Diana!
We celebrated Diana's 7th birthday today.
Not knowing exactly when she would give birth, Sam had asked Janessa Burt, a former neighbor of ours who LOVES making desserts, to make a birthday cake for Diana. As usual, Janessa's cake was impressive.

Baby Layth is born
Layth Ogden
DOB: Thursday, 26 March
Time of Birth: 8:15am
Weight: 9.4lbs
Length: 20 inches
4:30am - Contractions began
5:45am - Drove to University of Utah Hospital
6:45am - Dilated at 6-7
8:10am - Water broke on its own
8:15am - Layth is born
This was about an hour before baby Layth was born.
I love this video. My beautiful wife is preparing to bring our son into this world. She's listening to calming music from her cell phone. She's hooked up to a device that monitors the baby's heart beat, which you can hear in the background.
They moved us to a different room after check-in. This is the room where Sam gave birth.
We took some pictures of Layth wearing the University of Utah beanie because he was born at the University of Utah Hospital. I'm a big BYU fan, but there's a special place in my heart for the University of Utah after what they did to help Sam get through her years of cancer treatments, and now having a baby born at the hospital there.
Kate (Sam's sister) took care of the kids for half the day while I was at the hospital with Sam. Later today, I went home to pick them up and bring them to see their new little brother.
Happy Mother
Penny enjoyed driving Layth around the hospital hallways.
Layth did not like his first bath. 😁
